About SystemTalk
SystemTalk explores computer systems design.
Our first series, A Macintosh History, covers the early Macintosh and draws from MacUser magazine. What was it like to own a Macintosh in the mid-eighties? How did users and developers adapt to the graphical user interface? Why did the Mac prosper before struggling for survival in the 1990s? If you’re new to the series, start at the beginning with A Macintosh History 85.10 (October 1985).
If you have any suggestions or corrections, please get in touch with @WillFlux or join me in the lounge of the 68k Mac Liberation Army.
I also write about FPGAs and hardware design at Project F.
PS. SystemTalk has been sleeping over the winter. The next part, A Macintosh History 86.12, will appear in the spring of 2023.
